In 1972, there was no 'National Yellow Pages Advertising' industry in Canada. Wayne Fulcher, then a local Yellow Pages representative with an entrepreneurial spirit, recognized the opportunity and it is in that year that the DAC Group story begins.
Recognizing that there was a void in the market Wayne created the Directional Advertising Consultants, DAC Group. Quickly, DAC acquired clients, built partnerships, attracted top employees, and established offices in Toronto, Vancouver and Montreal. Wayne used a partnership model, in which the agency grew by opening or acquiring offices in cities such as Cleveland, Louisville, Rochester and New York.
DAC experienced early success under Wayne's leadership, which was driven by a sincere passion for directional advertising. He placed a premium on customer service and respect for his employees and clients.
An officer of the US National Yellow Pages Agency Association, Wayne was also the founder of the Canadian Yellow Pages Agency Association. He remains deeply proud of the ethics and values that are still found within DAC Group's offices and the agency's work.
Wayne and his wife Mary Ann live in Nova Scotia. Along with his family, he is an avid traveler and boater.
